Four new mandates for cosmetic ingredients.
The European Comission has requested the SCCS’s opinion on 4 ingredients for use in cosmetic products.

New SCCS opinion on the safety of this preservative, which is to be incorporated in the packaging materials.
Opinion from the SCCS on the use of Phenoxyethanol
The SCCS has revised the safety of this ingredient, which has already been included in Regulation 1223/2009, to judge if the maximum allowed concentration in cosmetic products should be changed.

The SCCS has evaluated the safety of the ingredient when used in different cosmetic product types.
European Comission report on the use of claims in cosmetic products.
After the different Member States have examined the behaviour and compliance of the cosmetic market regarding product claims, during 2014 and 2015, the European Comission has brought together a report detailing the results.
